VC10s at Airshows
The VC10 is obviously also called upon to perform at various airshows,
where the performance of an empty VC10 can certainly liven up the day! As well
as deafen the onlookers....
1-2. XV108 is shown here coming in to land and during a flypast at the Biggin
Hill Airshow in 1970.
3-4. One year later at the same Biggin Hill Airshow and XV101 does the honours.
1 to 4. RAF Abingdon in 1980 was the venue for this spirited display by
XR806.

4. K2 ZA143 parked in the static show at the Halifax Airshow, Canada, in June 1995.

Fairford in 1985.
1 & 2. And RAF Abingdon again, this time with XV107 as the subject in
1982.
3. At the 1977 Silver Jubilee air show at White Waltham G-ARVM made this
'interesting' approach (more photos and the story

4. This photo of the event by John Clements is mounted in the bar at White
Waltham airfield.
1 - 4. XV108 and XV109 showed up at the 2003 RAF Waddington air show with
Tornados in tow
