Well, to make a long story short: I'm back home again! After finishing the VFR part of the course I flew the IFR part and after two checkflights successfully concluded this. And after this the final bit was there: 7 flights and a CPL exam! Last minute bad weather conspired against me but in the end it was my own flying that caused a re-exam. So after two days of bad moods and even worse weather (or was it the other way around?) I got to do my re-exam on Monday, 25th June and passed! And so I got myself to Miami that Tuesday to catch a flight home. So after 144 days and 160 hours of flying the Florida skies, I'm back home again. The next part will be some flying on the Bonanza and Baron here in The Netherlands, but that's a different story.
This website will cease to exist after 15th July as the folks that host it are demanding money for their services, which were provided free of charge until now. I may find a spot on another server sometime in the future to park this story, but you will have to keep an eye on my other site in the meantime: http://Fly.to/VC10.
