It'd be interesting to know why the engines were taken out in the first place. At a guess, I would think they would have taken the best Conways with the lowest hours (there must be a few knocking round at Brunty,) to give the least trouble when they fire them up to take her for a spin :D

I'm not 100% certain on this but I remember hearing somewhere that 241 was taking 147's engines, perhaps someone can confirm this?

She looks a bit naked without her refueling probe. Will she get one put back on?

The engines had to be removed as part of the contract with BAe. This was done to make the aircraft 'safe'. Indeed ZD241 now has three engines back, these came from ZA147 which has been moved to the breaking pan. I guess these were in better shape than the ones from '241.
