Happy New Year everyone
I took these pictures in October 13 of the VC10 Engine Ground Running Tubes silenced forever more.

St Athan had an exact copy of the set up at Brize, but they have been gone since 2012, just the concrete bases for the front of detuner tubes remain.

I thought I saw them being dismantled... sad indeed, the last tangible connection to the VC10 at BZZ

i would love to see those taken to Wisley and the deserted airfield set up as a VC10 museum after all it is a wasted piece of land close Brooklands and was test site for the VC10. Perhaps time to write to the PM or the lottery fund? I used to live across the road from Wisley airfield and used to know the farmer who owns it now if hes still alive!
Anyone up for a cunning plan?

The Gremlins are gone again! I continue to be amazed how people actually think that silly posts like the one I just removed will generate any effect...
