Has anyone brought or built one? If so any advice on building or pictures to share please? I got mine through the post last week from Hannants which wasnt cheap. Its a bit rough around the edges and looks like it will need a lot of filler! but hopefully will build into an impressive centre piece :)
I did purchase the decal set from TwoSixDecals but they havnt arrived yet so cant comment.Hopefully ill start it soon and post some pictures.
Cheers Lee.

Hi
I am building this kit at the moment!
I am building mine as BOAC standard G-ARVF. The kit does build into a solid model; the proportions are correct and it does look great when assembled but it required a huge amount of filling. I used car body filler as it was stronger and harder than the humbrol equivelent.
I bought mine off of eBay.
The fuselage was warped to begin with so I heated and bent the fuselage into shape using hot water. I then super-glued the fuselage halfs together.
I would post post pictures but I don't really know how to!!!

There's something about the front end that doesn't seem quite right

That's a flippin monster of a kit though! I did toy with the idea of spending the money on this but in the end the scheme I want to do isn't available in that size and to be honest I have absolutely nowhere to put it!!

Good luck with the build... will keep an eye on the Flickr pics. It is a monster of a kit. I'd be terrified to even start it!

On a slightly different angle a few years ago I built an Airfix VC-10 model and then, by chance came across 2 x 1/144 scale Tornado models in the states.

I managed to pin them together to produce a 3-ship creation of ZA143 refuelling a pair of Tornadoes. The model is a bit jaded now but is faithfully dusted once a week.

I built a 1/72 Magna VC10 a little while ago. My best advice would be to buy shares in 3M sandpaper! This is not a model you can build over a weekend I'm afraid. In fairness it builds up quite nicely, far better than an Airfix 1/72 Concorde or a Frog Whitley, but oh dear! You need to do lots and lots of filling and sanding! To my eyes the cockpit area seems to be out of scale, but that could be my bad eyesight. I seem to remember vowing never to build another resin kit ever again after that one. Then I went out and bought a resin Brabazon (I still haven't built it though  ) Out of interest as this is quite an old thread, how is the build coming along?
