Great site. Can anyone out there help with a bit of performance info for a type 1101 (Serial 808 - Victor Foxtrot) '10'.
I'm currently beta testing a new FSDS2 model for Dave Maltby which has just undergone a FlightDynamics change and I'm having difficulties with the revision. Does anyone know what the correct approach speed and trim settings should be for this type. I appreciate the RAF versions currently flying are not 1101's but any info at all will be of help.
I hope that no-one is offended by the Flightsim connection but for most of us, other than visiting Duxford or Cosford (both of which I do as much as possible!) this is the closest we will get to getting airbourne!.
In the approach configuration, that is gear down with landing flap: tailplane set to 6 nose up trim with 82% N2 were bankers, the speed was dependant on weight, max landing weight for the Standard was 97976kg which my dim recollection equated to a threshold speed of 132 kts decreasing to about 120 kts at 80,000kg. In fact, with these seetngs the aeroplane would land iself without the need for outside interference... If you build these figures into your programme you will be the first with a realistc flight sim...
