Haynes manual wanted!!

Post by vololiberista »

Haynes manuals as you know are very informative. They do all these manuals seen here. They even do one by Wallace And Grommit!! But none of the VC10. Surely one could be done as a 50th Birthday tribute!!!

Won't be a very big one. When on the ground kick the tyres, check the front end crew are safely attached to the aircraft and the galley is full of food of YOUR choice and away you go! She is that reliable

I know she is a reliable lady but would be nice for Haynes to do something, wouldn't you agree? :)

It certainly would make interesting reading! The number of different ways that we went about doing things on the same job would make it a best seller, (and make our old SengO cringe).

I left at the right time. All the good routes had gone or were going. The VIP role had gone. It was still fun to work on her but, with Lyneham coming over, it was not going to be the same. I still liked going there on courses when I worked on the frame with the MOD but I am afraid nothing is better than being here in the land of Keo :-)

I don't know if the squadron will put on anything for you guys. Your lot went through the same redundancies we eventually did at St. Athan but we had a good relationship with the sqn. I would like to think that there will be some sort of 'do' that we can all attend to say farewell to her. I most certainly will fly back to attend if there is. Tonkers, anything in the wind?

Niether am I but I have had opportunities to return for special functions ie GE reunions etc so arrangements can be made if such a function does occur. You never know!
