BOB registration for sale at DVLA auction..

Post by Stewart »

Juts in case anyone is interested there's a VC10 related reg coming up , FLY 80B although I can't imagine it would be cheap.. the only other one I know of is G4 SGN which will be far far cheaper.. although best hidden from the PLO! (G4 SGM appears to be on a Lotus Elise and I doubt the owner knows its significance)

any way FLY 80B can be found here

Maybe we should put the money we raised towards buying it ;)

As it was built pre dec 73 it would be classed as 'Historic' and thus tax exempt! However you would not be allowed to put VC10BOB on anything built before 2010, however FLY 80B would be alowed on anything 64 or later..

Good plan, shame it wouldn't be possible though, I'm sure BOB would love his own personalised numberplate after the fiasco with his home and the subsequent clipping he's going through!

I've been out of the loop for a while. What is BOB's current status. Is he being transported to Cosford at some point or has that scheme not progressed?
