1/72 Mach2 VC10

Post by kev67 »

Enjoyed my weekend at Telford, and saw the new Mach2 VC10 in 1/72, well all I can say it is a kit with loads wrong with it, especially the nose, the tail etc etc, but if you have a spare £80 to splash out and not to worried about how inaccurate it is that's great but not me, Alan Wilson of Icelandic Fine Art will be producing a resin 1/72 VC10 next year some time which he needs to fine tune, but overall it is far better than the Mach2 kit

I noticed that the nose isn't quite what it should be, that's a shame as it is so characteristic for the real VC10's shape. I was also wondering about the wings, are the leading edges straight or is there a step that shouldn't be on this version?

You are right there should not be any leading edge extensions on this version 1101 series VC10
