Fred Reeves - 10 Sqn RAF

Post by dennis »

Any old RAF bods remember my Late Uncle Fred Reeves?

He was a Navigator in 10sqn in teh 60's. I recall (rightly or wrongly!) he was a Sqn Ldr around that time.

I was at school with a Jane Reeves, they lived just round the corner from us in Carterton, could be her father although I didn't know him.

I was a Ground Eng. from 1976 to 1983 and I am sure he was on 10 Squadron during my time.

Dennis,

Asked dad about your uncle. He thinks he knew him when he was at Thorney Island on the Argosy as well as 10 Squadron at Brize. Do you know if he was a Nav Instructor at all?

Sorry for the tardy reply - I've been lurking in Sri Lanka for a bit. (Went by Airbus..not VC10 :( )

I beleive he did do some training but am not 100% certain.
