Looking for photo: XV104 with 'James McCudden VC' scroll

Hello,

I've been contacted by someone who is writing a biography about James McCudden VC and for illustration purposes he is after a photo of the scroll with this name on XV104. Does anyone have a photo on which this particular scroll is legible? Please get in touch!

At a later stage this scroll also flew on ZD241 after XV104's retirement, a photo where the scroll is visible on this K4 airframe is also welcome but XV104 is preferred.

jelle,just had a look at ebay and there,s alot of slides on there of most of the scrolled names of the cmk1,s in the 80,s..prob the same seller...have a look..mark

Great minds think a like. I couldn't see one but please check me. Interesting though how different, indeed bigger, the original scrolls were.

Hi guys,

Thanks for this but the book about James McCudden VC is already heading for the printers. I'll keep an eye on the slides though, there's no James McCudden scroll there now but it might turn up at some point. Indeed the scrolls looked different, but they were hand painted initially while in later years they were printed stickers.
