Festive greetings 2009

Post by Laurieg »

Weell, here we are again. The year ending on a sobering thought but a good year was had by Mrs G and myself. Work has remained intensive, keeping the old girl up but has been very satisfying. I have met a few old friends and renew aquintances and hope to meet more later at the GE bash.

I spent the last two days with 242 at Boscombe playing out the game with QinetiQ. (Poor old girl is really being put through it, but at least it is still looking like a VC10).

So from all the Gutsell household have a VERY festive holiday, don't knock back too much Becks etc (Red flag to a bull with you lot). and see you all next year. :-)////)
Never had a GE's wallet. It was always empty when I got back but I always had a smile on my face :-)

Indeed, seasons greetings to all... this year does seem to have shot past.

I see poor old 242 from the office window when I go down there... sad old site!

I've been trying to find a nice wintery photo with an aviation theme to accompany my season's greetings but cannot find one. This country has been covered in snow over the past weekend and while it looks good, the runway at EHTE wasn't clear enough to go flying earlier this week, so no photos of a white landscape from me this year.

Have a merry festive season and all the best for 2010! \:D/

You should try finding one of a snowy VC10. As rare as hens' teeth as far as I can find!

Merry Christmas everyone. Here's to a good 2010! :D

I managed to find this one on this thread on the Flypast forums, but I agree that a period one would be better.
