Nice job, but it's missing the inboard wing fences :)

That's indeed a known issue with the Airfix kit, it doesn't include the inboard fences because it is based on very old moulds which were made during the VC10's development as far as I know. I'll look up some photos for you ACLVC10.

Edit: how's this, it shows a type 1102 wing so ignore the chord extension, but the inboard wing fence is shown.

The fences are visible just outboard of the fridge pack condenser intake.

No, the intake is fine, if you look at the pic the wing fence sticks up vertically from the upper surface of the wing.

It looks a well made model, it's a shame Airfix never released a 1/72 Vc10

Yes 1/72 would of been a better scale but at least they released it at all, so glad i got my hands on one :)

I want to get another one now

This shows the wing fence on the right wing of A4O-AB, it should be easy to create them from scratch, from a bit of plastic card. There's a slight curve in the front end but at 1/144 scale you probably won't notice it if you omit this.

There are two 1/72 kits that I know of but they are either vacuform or resin kits, not something I've ever dared to try.
See here (scroll down for the second one): http://www.vc10.net/Misc/vc10_models.ht ... s_Vac_Form

Anyway, the model looks great ACLVC10! Just ignore us bickering about the details
