10/10 for effort though!
I like the bit where the narrator says "a crowd had formed" and the camera pans to show 6 people

I applaud the effort, but I suspect too much weight, and not enough power.

Yes, when you're travelling in these countries like Africa, The Middle East etc you think you are completely alone. Until you stop that is, and then suddenly out of nowhere you are surrounded by kids usually. One can't say they come out of the woodwork because of all the termites!Thumper wrote:10/10 for effort though!

This reminds me of "Junkyard Wars" the US version of "Scrapheap Challenge" when they did an aircraft episode, only theirs was better than the above

That's what I like to see, the Brits showing everyone how its done! =D>
No fannying around, just taxi away, power on and off into the air!

You're referring to the last Victor flight?Magnum wrote:That's what I like to see, the Brits showing everyone how its done! =D>

The US team apparently thought they were making a car!Magnum wrote:That's what I like to see, the Brits showing everyone how its done! =D>

I remember the full episode they did get it to fly in the end. It was odd how the French and US made essentially replica vintage aeroplanes whereas the Brits actually designed and built the best flying machine they could with the materials available and it performed so much better than the other two.

I found the Scrapheap Challenge flight episode on the Channel 4 on demand website, I can't find the Junkyard Wars one though which is a shame as it was really good.
