Interesting site. I went to Brooklands Museum today and saw a VC10. On returning home I found you via the Brooklands Museum Links Page.

Agreed the 10 has not been well served on the Web. As an ex-10 Squadron Loadmaster on "Shiny Ten" Squadron from 66-72, wish you well in expanding your site to do homage to a great A/c!

Very nice tribute to one of the most graceful and distinctive airliners of all time. It brings back many memories of summer evenings in Mt. Prospect, Ill. where I lived in the flight path of Chicago's O'Hare Airport. BOAC's Super VC-10s had a particular and pronounced roar to them that heralded a departure pattern over my home. I was always quick to grab a pair of binoculars and rush outside to get a good view of one overhead as it winged its way to Montreal and onward to London in the early evening hours.

Excellent idea! I flew to Africa and back on G-ARVC in 1965 and it was the best aircraft I have ever flown in.

Nice to see the VC-10 has its own page. Flew on a standard BOAC VC-10 in 1964 from Dar es Salaam to London. Lovely aeroplane.

There's an East African Airways site at http://home8.swipnet.se/~w-84481/frame2.htm

Cut and paste the address.

marvellous aeroplane that was ridiculed in comparison to B707, therefore wrecked commercially, by Guthrie, BOAC Chairman. Grand to see a site dedicated to it; more power to your elbow, Jelle
