Excellent site! any info about the most beautiful airliner ever built is most welcome. I fell in love with the VC10 on a school trip to Heathrow back in the mid sixties, still remember the gold speedbird on those beautiful blue tails lined up on the apron!
Hi I was in the RAF and seviced the VC10 in the Far East and also major servicing at Brize Norton Base. A beautiful aircraft and a pleasure to maintain.
I like VC10. I saw it when I was in Duxford in 1999. Some RAF VC10 were in Ferihegy airport in Budapest last years and same were in Aeroplex Ltd. for repaint. This type is great.
I was stationed at RAF Brize Norton servicing VC10 from Dec 66 - July 67. Then I `fixed um' on TASF at Muharraq, Changi and Luqa. Took a photo of XV105 when it left Changi as the last RAF aircraft in Dec 71 (it went over to Tengah) before returning to Brize with all the Changi VASF personnel
