ghana airways vc10 london office model turns up on e bay

i noticed what looks like the origional ghana airways vc10 london office model has just been sold on ebay for over 2oo quid..i once took a girlfreind of mine on a trip to london in 1981..i was 15 and a vc10 nut even then..anyway we went to the ghana airways office and altho thy had just retired the vc10..i think she went to prestwick,,the model in the window was still there,i took a few photo,s..i beleive im stood in one pic ,vc10 behind me.i did enquire if the 26 inch model was for sale [-o< but it had already been sold ..im sure my then girlfreind had a great time]..anyway it was a surprise to see the model turn up again after all these years,she must have been sat in that window watching london go thru the swinging sixties and funky seventies....i did throw a bid in but lost out..i hear thru the grape vine another raf ten is soon to be scrapped,anyone got any news?..what a great shame, bet its the last of the boac supers.has anyone ever seen any otheer airline models around of the vc10..did,nt cosford and duxford get the ba models...east african ten spotted in amsterdam in an aviation enthusiasts shop? ..any pics anyone.

do you know how manny where made?,where you there at the time forester?.tonkenna...wow you,v got a boac travel agents model,where and when did you get it?..do you know anything about its history?.would have luved to have got the ghana one too but best not push things with my better half..as ive been collecting airline seats,vc10 galley ect for my new denn in the new house,,got to keep things in perspective..what else is in your vc10 collection?,any pics of boac beauty? ..jelle ,sorry i should have posted all this in misc section, can you move it?.soss.The duxford ba super model was flown back to the uk on concorde from ba,s terminal in new york where it had been on display..the only super sonic super =D>..its now in storage and not on show to the public
