I haven't gotten very far in it yet (only had it for a day by now) but first impression is that this is a serious book. The story behind it makes it interesting in itself but that only distracts from Mr. Higham's impressive work. And of course we cannot discount the fact that it boasts a very suitable illustration on the front cover!
