What's the plan for getting in on site, turn up and ask or phone in advance, don't want to arrive to be turned away because there's too many bods on site already.

Cheers

Last time we had an invitation from Gary of GJD to attend but he hasn't been in touch with us so far this time.

Taken from the Bruntingthorpe Website, this has been posted on 2 other aviation forums so I expect it could be a busy day and with their 'limited viewing' I would get there early!

Please note that the very last flight of the VC10′s will be happening on Wednesday 25th September with either one, or two aircraft (to be confirmed) making the last flights ever and landing at Bruntingthorpe. Estimated time of arrival will be 12:00 midday although this is subject to change and weather. Some limited public viewing will be allowed in site in a designated area.

From Cheshire you'll need to head down the M6, you can avoid the M6 toll but I think it would be easier just to take it, continue east on the M6 until Rugby and then branch off north east taking the A426 to Lutterworth. In Lutterworth branch right onto Gilmorton Rd which later becomes Lutterworth Road. In Gilmorton turn right and then left into Mill Lane which later becomes Bruntingthorpe Road. At the T-Junction turn right into Bath Lane and in about 200yds on your right is the entrance to Bruntingthorpe.

Here is a map I did last time for when XR808 landed;
