Whilst it's a fantastic achievement I can't help but feel sad. The sight of this once proud jet limping along the runway in a restrained manner and then forced to stop. It's not just the VC10, I feel like that with all the aircraft they have at Trundle Fest. It reminds me of the veterans parade they have at the Grand National every year.

I know exactly what you say, and I agree... and she clearly would have flown with very little encouragement. Sadly we didn't have the whole runway so it was a very quick burst of power and before we knew it we were at 60 its. With unlimited cash and an authority that was a bit more open... well, who knows. Still, having sat around for quite a while she is in remarkably fine order
