I am building the Airfix VC-10 as a prototype in the BOAC markings.
Any fixes I should be aware of besides chopping the refueling shroud, and
fixing the sink holes and warped wings?
Can somebody please point me to drawings of the VC-10
showing the proper dihedral and front-view profile of the wings?
This subject is particularly striking in three dimensions; I was
surprised, actually, as I fitted the parts together and saw this very
attractive form come together in my hands. Photographs just don't
capture *all* the beauty of this aircraft, and I have a feeling the VC-
10 is going to be the best looking plane on the shelf....
Airfix VC-10 Fixes . . . VC-10 Drawings?

Sounds like a good project! As for drawings I've only got the ones on my site right now: http://www.vc10.net/Technical/technical ... tions.html
You could also have a look at the front view photo on this page: http://www.vc10.net/Misc/big_aircraft_move.html
A measurement from that might even be more accurate than a drawing!

1st Post!
I think that many of the old Airfix Jetliners were very accurate dimention-wise, but the kit is only for the Prototype, as it has differing engine pylons (and other differences?). Will look forward to seeing your finnished efforts!
Here is a build of the other 1.144 VC-10 kit, the Welsh models Vac-formed super. I am hoping to buy one of these kits this Christmas.
