I just checked them out, nice set of pictures, sad to see the scrap ones, quite a few had been chopped at Saints by then

Strange? We did Majors, Minors and all other servicing IN HOUSE during the 70's/ early 80's in Base hangar. Why the change to Saints??
Looks like the guy in that pic is contemplating having to go in a tank a lovely job I got chose for as Im a shorty! Sitting in there for a shift with a breather on and a tin of tank sealer
Then going home and being told to strip off at the door because I stink of AVTUR 
happy days.
