Hopefully the CAF will find a way for the aircraft to earn her keep without taking away what made her so special in the first place

Well thats a new one on me .... and if true, I for one will be delighted ! It is obvious to me that any other airframe should be used not a VC10 of any type.....but I am very slightly biased. They had a spare DC 6 at Coventry to do something with so I guess that made sense.
...and then there is the wind rattling across this coastal airfield. What ever they use it will be no fun eating on board in a gale. The VC10 rocks like a boat as it is. No amount of tie down or weight on will stop that.
