A New Generation VC11?

Personally I think its time that someone sat down and designed a replacement aircraft SIMILAR to the VC10. It has proved to be one of the most reliable and safe airliners of our time. The High tail and rear blowers give her short field capabiilites only seen by the like of a Hercules or Globey. Also she is so quiet to ride in down back. I have flown in aircraft with the wing pods and down the back it ROARS!
The flapped area has to be seen to be believed and benefits over wing mounted engines as you have to have big gaps in the flaps for them to blow through. The leading edge slats give the VC10 a chord line extension of about 9 feet I believe making those wings HUGE for slow landings. We had to fly to a tiny airfield once on locals for some reason I think it was Kemble which is VERY short. We got in and out no bother.
The refuelling benefits too give those poor guys out on the wing drougues nice clean air as opposed to 'riding the bronco' on somthing like the old KC135, getting blown all over the place. Spent many hours on refuel training sorties. Did a lot of receiving and even under the 10's butt she is a smooth as silk. I do love it when the co pilot spokes the basket he has to buy everyone beers! Mind you saw a Captain try to take the basket back WITH us! - oh boy we laughed like drains that was WHISKEYS all round, I digress.
We couldnt go far wrong to design a next generation VC11? My stepfather worked for BAC and then BAe and was a designer, he designed the Hawk cockpit and Harrier bits etc. He says it is very easy. A troublesome factor would be noise levels as the new aircraft would need bypass engines as most aircraft do now. I live at the end of 27 right at Heathrow and when the old DC9's or other rear engine jets go up you sure know! We occcasionally get a 10 over to give old Blair or the Queen a jolly.
Anyway, getting a bypass with sufficiently large fan disc (i'm not going to go all techy here I'll lose most people) basically you need a big fan to blow the nice cold air into the hot exhaust to keep it quiet! The stub wings would need to be huge! Maybe four of the smaller Rolls engines from the Unfotunately the British Aircraft industry is long dead so it would be an Airbus offering. Wow can you imagine a WIDE BODY VC11? But would that look something with a RR Trent bolted on each side of the fuselage!
Realistically 4 CT56-5 engines each with a static thrust of 25,000 pounds would do the job AND fit.
OK now i'm off the the CAD room to put together a feasibility study to present to Airbus
