a few years ago myself and 2 other guys went on an 'urbex' expedition to Pyestock, the National Gas Turbine Establishment at Farnborough. The site was derelict and I class myself as very lucky to have seen this place before it was demolished. Many wanted it to be preserved as a museum and aircraft site but sadly housing won over yet again.
Most aircraft engines in the 60's were tested here including Concordes Olympus units at 2000 mph! The mighty Conways were also tested here. We shot quite a few images there I'll put a couple up, but if people want to see more I'll put them up.
