The end of the year is near and so everyone is embarking on the holiday festivities. I would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and may 2006 bring you all the best!
2005 may not have been the best year for the VC10, with one Squadron and 3 aircraft gone, but soon 101 Sqn will be back at Brize and we will still be able to see and hear this unmistakable shape and sound in the air during 2006.
Have a good holiday, Jelle. Not a bad year, really. XV101 has been put to bed for the break and ZD 230 still has her engines in, (although I did discontect them yesturday), so I suppose it is still alive.
Happy xmas to all. Not too much of the amber nectar now.
Never had a GE's wallet. It was always empty when I got back but I always had a smile on my face
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all you VC10 fans out there.
As you say Jelle it has been an interesting year for the VC10 fleet... loss of a Sqn, loss of aircraft and a task that seems to get more and more busy. Still, keeps me out of trouble.
On a personal note it has been a good year... Mrs T getting better after a big op, she has now got a great job she enjoys, I have been signed on to age 55 and we won a car... lets hope 2006 is as good
Very sad to see the end 3 VC10s.I had a short flight on XR 810 in early Oct over the Bristol channel and it was then that I was told that this aeroplane was due to be delivered to St Athan shortly.I understood mainly because they wanted the engines.I would have thought that after the end of the K2s there would have been plenty to go round.Happy Christmas to all
Ten out of ten indeed... You have to give them great credit for finding a thread here that actually has a connection... Especially one that is SEVEN years old.... Brilliant.
It shows how well brute force internet searches work, they probably target a specific forum type and then search for a number of words or phrases. Anyway, I hope you don't mind me kicking the perpetrator off the forum which will make the humorous post in question disappear. We'll have to amuse ourselves again...
