Hawker-Siddeley Trident G-AWZK which has been lovingly restored by the Trident Preservation Society is in danger of being scrapped as BA (who used her as a training aid) has declared her to be surplus to requirements and wants her off the airfield by the end of February, otherwise the scrapman is the only alternative.
All is not lost as Manchester airport would be glad to offer the airframe a home. Your help is now needed as a sum of 20000 pounds is needed to fund the move. If you want to know more, or want to support this project, please visit this website: http://www.s4ssl.co.uk/trident/save-the-trident.htm.

The campaign to save Trident G-AWZK has had a positive effect, as enough money has been raised to allow the airframe to be transported to Manchester for preservation there.
