A Little VC10derness

Here,s GASG-P At Abingdon Air Show I took In September 1985,she was opened up for the public,a very rare event..I flew on vc10,s as a boy in the mid 60,s to 1971 mainly to Nigeria Kano and lagos,i was shuved under my mums seat on decent into Kano once as a baby on a nigeria airways flight by the Nigeria airhostess,that aircraft crashed soon afterwards near lagos..You might say the vc10 is in my blood..i once spent the night in a hedge waiting for the Brize Norton Airshow in 1984..A year later i was at Abingdon to record the stored BA Super vc10 fleet...it goes on..anyway... ive raided my shed and Ive started getting them into groups on flickre,please have a browse...

Some great memories there mate, also takes me back, especially the Gulf Air parked up at Brize.

Thanks ACL, Which BA Super was it parked next to the Gulf Air VC10?..Did you or anyone you know get onboard any of them?,was there much inside them?

We used to use the Gulf Air at Brize for spares now and then, I think eventually the nose gear axle snapped, and it was scrapped.

Thanks Pete,need to do a bit of photoshop on 107 pics and resubmit,i dare say i have alot more as the shed gets more cleared out..a few missing rom the Abingdon shoot,hope they turn up...just glad i made the effort to get them sorted and uploaded

Some nice memories.
I have a handful of transparencies from the 70's but would have to have them professionally copied as my scanner only does a low resolution copy.

my first try with my lydl scanner,best just to get them scanned and saved i thought..just get stuck in or it never hapens..maybe scan then go to photo shop?..would luv to see them?

On a side note, and please don't take this the wrong way, but an aircraft registration is G-XXXX not GXXX-X!

For example G-ARVM, G-ASGP etc.........
