Sorry to hear that you have to get rid of it Mark. I've edited your post to change XR810 to XR806.

The photo is here: http://www.vc10.net/History/bitsandpieces.html#XR806

Yes its a shame,i could prob squeaze it into my garage, not sure my other half would be happy with that?... and no one would get to see it?....but id rather see it on display somewhere...or cared for in a good home...to have it set up in a vc10 kitchen with taps working and microwave... :D :D ... small oven ect?...but you,d need a big kitchen and more importantly...be single :D

Get contacting all the museums out there before sticking it on Fleabay. Nice 'little' item to have, shame it has to go but I'm sure you'll find a good home for it.

I would love to take it of your hands but I'm sure the wife would say something about that :(

What about East Midlands Museum? They have the fwd fuselage of XV108....I'm not sure of their intentions with the interior. Maybe it could be used in there?

Slightly off topic but XR806 was the first VC10 my dad flew on as a navigator on September 30th 1968 as part of his accelerated conversion.
