I've just seen a recent photo of '150 at Dunsfold on Facebook, and noticed that there appear to be boxes covering the overwing emergency exit windows. Are these vents for dehumidifiers?

Bill.

Sort of, the team has modified an extra set of overwing exits so that the airframe is ventilated. The original overwing exits can be refitted when the aircraft is displayed.

I haven't seen the modified versions yet but this is what I've been told.

We have done a similar thing on ZA148 so the airframe has some ventilation. We have removed three of the window blanks and replaced with a sheet material with a small grill in to stop wildlife etc. Also, we have opened the ventral baggage door a little and again are in the process of producing a grill to fit in there. This helps draw air through the fuselage.

Yes, they are vents with an opening at the bottom protected by insect netting, to prevent the interior turning into an aviary during the nesting season. The original vents will be fitted for display at Wings & Wheels (23/24 August) and any other Dunsfold events.
