Just found my Junior jet club log book.I remember very well going on a Super VC10 to Kano Nigeria in 1966, and see it is G ASGC the same one at Duxford
What a fantastic plane! No other aircraft can hold the same affection as the VC10.

Excellent site!
My father still flies as a navigator on Ilushin-62M, which is our version of VC-10!
AT one time he told me a story when they were flying from China to England with a cargo and they had to divert to Brize Norton! It was a real surprize for them to see "British Ilushin-62!"
Thank you very much! Loved the site!

Hi there,

I just wanted to say what a great site!! I never thought there were any sites out there paying homage to such a wonderful old plane.

I recall when I was a kid living in Bermuda in the 70's, my Dad used to take me to the airport where I used to stand with my home made batons and wave the VC10s in!!

I have been very fond of this plane ever since having spent many a time flying backwards and forwards to Bermuda on one.

I've now ordered my VC10 DVD !!

Keep up the good work

Cliff Adams
