My grandfather, also named Mark Hubbard, was on the design team of the VC10 at Weybridge. The VC10 was the the first jet on which I flew as a child (BOAC Londo to Lagos). I also flew Kano to London on the ill fated Nigerian Airways VC10 the day before she crashed at Lagos on her return flight.

great site, vc10's are fantastic aircraft, i worked for sigma aerospace in the late 90's,repairing, and reconditioning conway engines for the RAF tanker fleet, in fact there is a photo of me fitting an FCU to a conway at http://www.sigmaaerospace.com/flash/productsandservices/conwaycell/conway.h tm. happy days! cheers, ian.
