I saw your site referenced in Wikipedia.
My dad flew as captain on BA Super VC10s until he age-retired from BA, then did 3 more years flying Gulf Air Supers. Beautiful design, a plane that will always own a corner of my heart. I am so happy to have found your website. Thanks for doing it.

Great site !
I flew the VC10 in the trooper version, to RAF Tengah Singapore in 1975 in my days in the Royal Navy.
Great aircraft, very good lines and comfortable.
Bye
Pauline

Nostalgic or what? Worked 1st,2nd and 3rd line on the "Queen of the skies" 1984-2000. Remember XR806 demise well, Dec '97 - just before the Xmas "beer call" in Base Hangar! Fin tank gauge was u/s and was "overlooked" on the defuel. Fin tank was fuelled and up went the nose! A young ATC cadet was being shown around at the time and she just stepped off with her escort when the nosewheel went up. Minor injuries sustained by fellow tradesman barrelling down the fuse Severe reps for sooty NCO I believe but that was it!

As ex ground engineer (crew chief) on 10 and 101 Sqns I just wanted to say what an excellent site this and what a wonderful jet the 10 was to work and fly on.
