Long association with the VC10. Was living in Weybridge when first 10 took
off from Brooklands. Flew in VC-10s of EAAC; BOAC and BUA: Was living in Addis
Ababa when the EAAC ran off the runway.
A tragic very sad day.

Was searching the internet for aviation info related to Soesterberg and found your article about The Vikings of Soesterberg. Interesting article never heard of it before. I worked as a K9 handler for the Air Force at Soesterberg Air Base.

Have just found this site and it bings a lump to my throat. Flew on these in 70's and 80's. Definately 'Queen of the Skies'. When 747's introduced, tee shirt printed- 'pxxx off Fat Albert'. Still got it in 'BOAC' box.
