Black VC10
Does anyone have pictures of the black VC10 (XR807), when it went in for major servicing at RAF St Athan and then flew to Belgium in black undercoat for a new paint job.

Yea very "secret stealthy"! Sadly the all over grey scheme does nothing for them & even less for the TriStars. It'll be sad when 808 finally gets retired but at least in years to come at Cosford it'll be in a proper livery when re-painted back to white. Can't believe no XV10x VC10's will survive into preservation, this batch of registrations has been so synonymous with VC10's for over 45 years and is now no more!

I know I'm not a great lover of the grey scheme, would of been great to see a fleet of black 10's on the pan at Brize!
As for the XV's I did hear a couple rumours of one being at least preserved at Bruntingthorpe

XR807 left Cambridge for St. Athan on Friday 13th May 2005 in its black colours. If you scroll down the news page on my site you can look at previous years, there are several photos at the bottom of this page: http://www.vc10.net/news_0506.html
