VC10 themed phone cover anyone?

Hi all,

I've been tinkering with Adobe Illustrator recently and came up with a simple design featuring the black and blue VC10 logo and a bit of a tribute to the VC10's 51 year career. As a bit of an experiment I ordered a phone cover from Spreadshirt with this design on it and I must say that I like it. Extending that experiment a bit I've now made this design available on a few different types of phone covers and such through the Spreadshirt online shop system. If you like it, you can get one for yourself (I'm probably not in time for Christmas pressies) or someone else:

A small percentage of the price goes to me. I'm not trying to get rich through you guys, I'd be honoured if more than two are ordered, but I figured that you wouldn't mind it, it helps me in keeping the website running.

On the photos below of my own 'prototype' there is no website address, on the version on Spreadshirt it is printed in small letters between the logos at the bottom of the case.

Anyway, have a look and let me know what you think. Any suggestions are welcome!

Just as an idea I think having the VC10 logo in the centre of the case would maybe look good? Still with the VC10 writing around it. Just an idea??

Let's hope many others get behind this idea, it's the least we could do in support of the great work you do to maintain this site/forum for us

Unfortunately you haven't got my phone on there as it's not a popular "in model" but I do like the design, the only problem for me is I have a rubber bumper on my phone so I would never see the backing anyway.

Hi guys, thanks for the support. I'm sure that I will be doing more designs at a later stage and I will look at that option Andy. The site comes first though so it might take a while!

Helen, unfortunately I'm restricted by the products that Spreadshirt offers. I tried to get as many covers available as possible, I've only left out the larger tablet covers as I don't know how well this design scales up to that size. If there are takers for an iPad or Nexus cover who are willing to try this out let me know and I'll add them to the shop. It might be a reason to go phone shopping...

Funnily enough I do need a new phone as this one was brilliant but after upgrading the OS it's barely useable! I will not buy anything with an "i" in front of it so for me it's going to be one of the Samsung phones, you have covers for those so that's good and if I buy the edge surround bumper that leaves the back clear, happy days

All these covers also protect the sides and I don't think you'll be able to fit a rubber bumper over the cover. Some have a rubber edge incorporated, at least mine has. But that's an iThingy so you won't be after one of those I gather. What tablet is that? I can check....

Motorola Xoom II but don't worry because it's being sold so I can get a new phone and no I'm really not into i-products I'm afraid

I cannot organise any covers for that tablet indeed, but I can get them for *cough* iPads, Kindle Touch or Nexus 7 tablets. Anyway, I'll stick with these for now and see where that gets me!

I'm looking at getting a Nexus 7 next year when the prices have come down so if I do I'll get the 10' cover fo sho!

That would be great if you could look into that design for me, would like to see it before committing myself to a design but I do understand your busy and these things can only be done as and when. But I promise you I WILL be purchasing one at least one of the designs.

Oh is there a Kindle Fire HD option?
