VC10 and BOAC shirts

Post by Jelle Hieminga »

It's not really the season for it, but if you're looking for a VC10 themed shirt, have a look at this shop:
http://bigcatmedia.co.uk/index.php?id_c ... r=category

They have one VC10 shirt (white and metallic silver print).

And two retro BOAC shirts.

But there are other options as well if you're so inclined...

They're all cack compared to the forum ones

I really hate how the majority of shirts aren't available in ladies styles though, I've had this problem forever and I doubt it'll ever change. I suppose I should just quit being interested in aircraft and motorbikes and take up crochet :|

I do own a lovely BOAC VC10 scarf though

Let's agree that they're different than the forum ones...

The print is quite nice on these shirts. I've now seen one myself and the bottom fuselage is done in a metallic silver print and the colours are nicely done. I agree that they could have done a ladies style one though, I can relay that question. Looking at the subjects I suspect that the market for these shirts is 99.9% male though.... :-)/\/\/\) You'll have to live with the fact that you're the odd one out Helen!

I can live with being "special" and yes I'll agree to say they are 'different' The colours do look very nice though and it's good to have a shirt with so much detail, must be quite a hefty price to print them up as that's at least 3 colours on there.

Hi Helen,

They're sold for GBP 12,95, not a bad price. I've e-mailed Chris who runs the shop and he would be happy to order some ladies shirts for you and print any of their designs on them. His e-mail address is on their site I think, otherwise let me know and I'll give it to you.

His wife's been at him as well about including other shirt styles so it's a matter of time before they officially appear in his shop

I have ordered a shirt this morning. This evening I have had a very nice email from them thanking me for my order and confirming despatch. By the way, if you order direct from the website, as opposed to their ebay site, it is free postage until the end of Feb.

..... arrived this morning !

What an outstanding service and the shirt looks good (I went for the plan view VC10 black shirt).
They use a "Fruit of the Loom" base T shirt, which had I have known, I would probably have ordered an XL instead of Large. I'm between sizes you see
Tempted now to buy the above blue side profile.

I gave up worrying what I looked like in terms if fashion years ago.
