December 29 1964, during my conversion training, my mentor insisted I recieved a proper experience of the high speed buffet, G-ARVI achieved M.97 and still accelerating, the experiment was ended to satisfy the plea of another student who feared for the atatcment of the tailplane. Has anyone seen higher Mach number?
