101 Squadron and the VC10

Post by LSS »

Jelle hope you don't the plug for my site but I think this maybe of some interest to forum members.

Sorry that the file is so big but haven't worked out a way that Ican make it smaller. (Grahpics are already as small as I can get)

Enjoy :)

Hello Rick,

I don't mind the link at all, was going to ask you about it but you beat me to it! I read most of the document yesterday, great find!

To explain a little for other readers: permission has been obtained to publish one chapter from the book 'The Lions Reign' which has been written by Steve Clements about the history of 101 Squadron. The chapter about the VC10 is available as a PDF document through the link above.

The rest of the site is worth a visit as well by the way!

Nice to see Steve is still about... we had many trips away together. That looks like a good read... will have a closer look later this week.

Tonks

Steve is back at Brize next building to me.

As far as the File on my site is concerned it was originally over 12mb in size, current size is 4mb but the graphics aren't too good.

I am in the porcess of making all this a little bit more "WEB FRIENDLY" In conjunction with Steve we have altered the layout slightly and the graphics are now thumbnails. This has reduced the file to 520k.

I hope to get this online tonight 08/11/05

I will be linking the thumbnails back to originals as well.

Now the format will probably be PDF to start off with, but will see how it goes.

More photos to follow courtesy of Steve.

Any comments to here or on my site will be appreciated.

File size is now 593K with better graphics.

Will sort the links to full size images over the weekend.
