Brings to mind our trip down the South Atlantic on MV Keren, to the Falklands we were overflown by a Victor up high - a mighty shout of "TANKER *ANKERS!" went up from the assembled ground crewage. We thought no more of this until a few minutes later theres a shout " OI that Vickys coming back!" The pilot had turned around and was at about 100 feet AGL and overflew us with waving crew and waggly wings - what a sight! =D>
Considering we were gazzilion miles from nowhere (water, water everywhere etc) this was a wonderful gesture - I always wondered who the crew were and if they ever got caught for that? Would have been red faces all round if the blowers had gone out at such a low height......dinghys all round chaps?
If you ever read this Captain ??????? Thanks, you made the day for a boat load of bored landlubbers! =D>
