I am building a standard BOAC vc-10 and I am a little rusty on the details between the differemces in wing between the standard vc-10 and the c.1k. Aparently the c.1k had super vc-10 wings and the stubs are different between the c.1k and standard vc-10.
Also, what are the exact differences in the wing fences between the standard and c.1k?
Thankyou

That depends a bit on which Standard you're talking about. From another thread I gathered that you're building a model of G-ARVF, if so then it's the type 1101 wing that you're building and you need to convert the type 1106 (C1K) wings from the Magna Models 1/72 kit to that spec.
The type 1106 wing had the 4% wing chord extension that is visible on the leading edge by the step at approx. 2/3rds of the span. That needs to go, the leading edge needs to be a straight line from tip to root. Also the configuration of the fences is different. On the 1106 wing you've got a short outboard fence which is only on the upper surface. The 1101 wing had a fence which started below the leading edge and ran back to the trailing edge of the wing. The inboard fence looks the same on most images but on the 1101 the fence covered one of the two fuel tank entrance panels which are slightly inboard of the fence on other Standards. It means that the fence needs to be closer to the fuselage. The image here shows a wing from a type 1102 which should be pretty similar to the 1106: http://www.vc10.net/images/wing_srm.jpg
On that image you can see the two entrance panels just left of the inboard fence. I've also got a photo of the fence on G-ARVF taken from the front which suggests that the fence is more or less in the same place. Another photo which I took from above shows that the fence just covers one of the panels. Have a look at the right wing on this photo and you'll see one fuel tank entrance panel clearly, the second one is just above that and slightly more outboard and the fence goes over it. There was a section of the fence that could be removed to gain access. That confirms that the fence was positioned slightly different. The 1101 wing also has a row of vortex generators, small triangular pieces of metal, sticking up from the wing between the two fences in a line parallel to the outboard trailing edge. You can just see them on the photo from above. Here's a shot from the front which shows them sticking up: The outboard fence, at least the front of it, looks like this: You're lucky, I took these two days ago (except for the overhead one)!

Re: C1K wing differences to standrd vc-10
As for the engine stubs, the engines have been moved further outboard and tilted up by 3 degrees on the type 1106 (C1K). You can tell because the rear end of the stub wing looks different and there is a kink in the inboard bit of the stub wing. See photo below which shows XR808 and compare this to the photo of G-ARVF in the previous post (I've also cropped it to show the position of the fence in relation to the two fuel tank access panels).
This shows it better on G-ASGC (ignore the duct tape):
So you'll need to undo this to get the type 1101 engine stub wings. I would guess that you could just cut off the added bit, but I'm not sure here.

Thankyou for a very detailed description !
How was g-arvf at Hermeskeil?
I will try include those details in the vc-10 model
Thanks again!
